Our Permit on the South Fork of the Payette River is 60 miles long. The river is split into five sections from nice mellow class II rapids to the best 15 miles of class IV whitewater in the state. With so many options we can customize your trip.

Have only one day with the kids? No problem.
Kids are at home and you want a thrill? Also no problem.

If you have a couple of days, join us for a 1 or 2 night trip and relax at out riverside camp while we delight your palate with creative outdoor meals. What ever you are after in a rafting experience we can accommodate you. (Click here to see pictures of the different river sections.)

Payette River Trips

The Grandjean Section

The Grandjean section has a beautiful backdrop of the Sawtooth mountain range. This section is known for it's viewable wildlife and creek like feel. The Grandjean has a couple class III rapids and runs until early June.
Full day trip - cost $103/person

The Helende Section

The Helende section is a fun bouncy ride interspersed with a couple class III rapids, good for all ages. Enjoy a riverside lunch at Kirkham hotsprings and a dip in a swimming hole. This is a perfect section for the first day of a multi day trip, you can float into our camp off the Helende section.
Full day trip - cost $103/person

The Canyon Section

Cool down this summer on the Canyon section where you will plunge through atleast 16 class III/IV rapids and portage Big Falls. This trip has a 12 year age limit.
Full day trip - cost $103/person

The Staircase Section

The Staircase section is a half day trip with a 10 person minimum. Perfect for a group activity for all abilities. If you are looking to take a smaller group we would recommend a different section.

Owyhee River Trips

The Payette River Company also offers specialty trips down the Owyhee River. There are many choices on the Owyhee River, from 3-6 days, this river system puts the Grand Canyon scenery to the test. The Upper Owyhee is some of the most remote in the lower 48. The Middle Owyhee has great class III/IV rapids AND great scenery. The lower is perfect for some bird watching and relaxation.
