Frequently Asked Questions

What should I bring?

For a single day trip:
Tennis shoes or sandals that will stay on your feet and can get wet.
Fleece top for under your splash jacket, swim trunks or suits, sunscreen, baseball cap or visor


On multi-day trips:
In addition to the above list- change of shoes for camp, headlamp or flashlight, warm jacket and pants (it can be chilly in the mornings), your usual personal care items and normal camping attire.

What does Payette River Company provide?

All rafting gear: paddle, helmet, life jacket, wet suit and splash top if needed.
All camping gear: sleeping pads, sleeping bags, pillows, and tents.

Can I fish?

If you are fishing, bring what you need for boat casting or to walk and wade, 0f course an Idaho fishing license.

What kind of food does Payette River Company provide?

The PRC camp will lull you into relaxation as we turn out an unforgettable riverside dining experience in our outdoor kitchen. We provide fresh fruit, quality meats, seasonal vegetables, and fine wines. We can customize your menu to fit everyones tastes.

Breakfasts can vary from omelets to dutch oven biscuits and gravy. All breakfasts are accompanied with fruit, cereal, tea, coffee and juice.

Our riverside lunch varies from pasta salads, chicken burritos, deli style sandwichs, vegetables, and hot soup if it’Äôs cold, fresh fruit if it’Äôs hot. Juice and other snacks are also provided with lunch.

Dinner at our beautiful sandy camp will be something of a treat. During cocktail hour we will start you off with hors d’Äôoeuvres such as smoked salmon and capers, vegetables and dips, shrimp cocktail or Thai dipping sauce. You will enjoy fine wines that are matched with your gourmet dinners of filet mignon, pork tenderloin, chicken dishes, salmon, pastas and pizza. Each dinner will be served with a green salad, a starch and bread.

This riverside sit down will be sure to delight your appetite and satisfy your palate.

Desserts are served piping hot out of the dutch oven. We serve homemade cakes, pies, brownies and cobblers all with a dollop of fresh whipped cream.
